まさかのアルプス平が上級者バーンに！？

昨日の雨、そして夕方からの爆風、夜中の冷え込み。様々な悪条件が重なり、ゲレンデはガチガチに凍り、アイスバーン状態。更に山頂付近濃霧のため視界も悪く、最悪のコンディションになってしまいました。

その為アルプス平は朝から上級者のみご利用可能なコースとなりました。いつもはなだらかで幅も広く、初心者の方でも滑りやすいコースなのに・・・

お昼ごろにはゴンドラ山頂駅付近の霧は晴れ、視界も確保されてきましたが、それより上はまだまだ濃霧。おまけに気温も上がらず、アルプス平のアイスバーン状態は改善されないまま。危険なため、とうとう２時過ぎにはクローズしてしまいました。

ご来場いただきましたお客様ごめんなさい。あまり楽しめない一日になってしまいました。

Due to the rain yesterday, the blast of wind in the evening, and the chill of the night, the slopes were frozen and got quite icy.  To make the matter worse, visibility was poor due to dense fog near the summit.  Therefore, Alps Daira area was only open for advanced skiers and snowboarders today although the area is normally open for everyone including beginners.  The fog around the top of the gondola station had cleared up around noon, but above that, the fog was still dense.  Besides, the temperature did not go up, so the icy condition of the Alps Daira area did not get better.  Concerned about danger, we closed the lifts after two o'clock.  We really apologize to all guests for the inconvenience we caused.

特に視界の悪い日はお気をつけください。

The mini-cross course in the Freedom Course.  The second half of the course looks like this, coming out of the forest and merging onto R4.  When merging, please be careful of other skiers and snowboarders, especially on days with poor visibility.

お昼過ぎのR6でもまだ硬かった。硬すぎて雪面はフラットなままでした。

結局柔らかくなったのはR1最下部だけでした。今夜も冷えそうです。

明日の朝一もお気をつけください。

日中は晴予報も出ております。明日はお日様が当たって緩むことを祈りましょう。

The slopes were still hard on R6 even after lunchtime.  The surface was too hard and remained flat.  In the end, only the bottom part of R1 became wet and soft.  It is going to be cold again tonight.  Please be careful when you ski/snowboard early morning tomorrow.  It may be sunny during the daytime, too.  Let's hope that the sun will shine tomorrow and the conditions of the slopes get better.

On days like this, please go to a restaurant and eat something delicious to soothe your soul.  The restaurant Alice is popular for its homemade curry, but I recommend the Kakiage Don (bowl of rice topped with deep-fried shrimp) for 950 yen.  The crispy kakiage is topped with a generous amount of sweet and spicy sauce.  It goes perfectly with rice.  It costs less than 1,000 yen.  How attractive!  I highly recommend you try it.
