寒い日が続きます！

今日は週末ともあり、おかげさまで場内賑わいました。　ちびっ子連れのファミリーも多く、スクールで頑張るちびっ子も多くいましたよ。　頑張れ！！

Brrrr! Brrrr! Still cold today. The place was crowded thanks to the good snowy weather.　There were many families with their little ones, and the little ones were working hard at snowsports school.　Go! Go!

さぁ、各リフトの周りには何やら大きな雪の塊が出来始めています。

こちらは2/6（月）から開催される『第2回ゴリュウ・ヨンナナ雪像コンテスト』用の雪の塊です。

各リフト、今年は何が出来るのでしょう？！

今年も五竜・47全体で開催されるので開催期間中は色々な雪像を見回って投票お願いしまーす！

The snow scuptures are starting to be built around each lift. This is the snow sculpture contest, a special event shared by Hakuba Goryu and Hakuba 47 which starts , Monday 6th February until Sunday 12th February. 

What will each lift make this year?

R3は早速コブ面になっ
ていました。

今回降った雪を削って降る前の硬い下地が出ている箇所もあるほど深めのコブもできていました。

パトロール隊員の一日の最中の作業、コースクローズ。

皆さまご存じの方も多いと思いますが、47は行き止まりの箇所もあったり立体交差が合ったりとコースレイアウトが複雑になっていて、ってそれはバラエティの富んだコースという事なんですが、パトロール隊員にとっては細かな設定の作業が多くて大変。　日々頑張っております！

明日は穏やかな1日になるでしょうか？！　粉雪存分に楽しみましょう～！！

One of Patrol's tasks during the day is course closure.

As many of you know, 47 has a complicated course layout with dead-ends and intersections, which means that the course has a lot of variety, but for our ski patrol crew, it is a lot of work to set up and close. They are working hard every day!

降ってますね！Snowing again (English Follows)

寒い日が続きますね！　今日も引き続き氷点下の気温が続いています。

午前中はチラチラだった雪も午後にはいい降りになりましたね！

今夜も積もってくれれば明日もパウダーだ！！
Cold days continure and the temperature is below freezing.

The snow flurries in the morning turned into pretty nice snow in the afternoon.
If we get some more tonight, we'll have powder snow tomorrow!!!

パークがリニューアルしたのに中々紹介ができませんでした…。

何でかよく分からないのですが、リニューアルすると大雪になるこの『47PARKS』。

せっかくシェイプして仕上げたのにオープンの日は大雪で埋まってしまう…。

今回ももれなくそのパターンにはまってしまったのですが、パークフリークの皆さま、楽しんでいらっしゃいましたね。このリニューアルで上級レーンが出来ました。

ビッグキッカーと呼ばれる1つ目のキッカーもまだまだ小さいサイズですが、ランディングが大きいので同じ大きさの中級キッカーがあったとしても大きく見えますね！

47 Park did a remake the other week. As more snow falls, we are attempting to build bigger and better items and jumps.

With the recent heavy snow, we were working hard to shape and finish the park, but on the day of the opening, it became totally buried under too heavy snow....all the park freaks were having a great time.And now a new advanced lane has been built.

The first kicker, is called the "Big Kicker," it's still small, but the landing is so big that it looks bigger than an intermediate kicker!

例のごとく、コースに出たのは15時くらいでもうさすがにコースは荒れ荒れでした。

午前中滑った方には重い雪だったとお聞きしましたが、15時くらいの雪、イイ感じでした！

夜のうちに振ってくれれば明日はパウダー！　期待したいですね！！

Around 3:00pm the course was already in rough shape. In the morning the snow was too heavy and by the afternoon the snow was actually better!
Hopefully, we'll have some epic POW tomorrow!!

いやー、寒い寒い！！

終日氷点下な日がずっと続いているのですから！

1日滑っていたらそりゃ体冷えますよね！

寒波！Cold Front! (English Follows)

 世間では寒波・寒波と言っておりますが、わたくしの懐はいつも大寒波！皆様からのカンパが欲しい！

お後が宜しいようですので、ゲレンデレポートです。

The world is talking about cold front hitting Japan.

Are we prepared for this?

さすがに寒波！

大雪です。寒いです。

防寒対策はしっかりしましょう。

たまに顔丸出しのサングラスでカッコよく決めているお客様を目にしますが、まったくもって無理です。

１本滑ると、ほほ凍ります。顔ベチャベチャになります。

Cold wave indeed!

It is snowing heavily. It is damn cold.

Make sure to take good clothing and accessories such as a face mask and helmet and good gloves to protect yourself from the cold.

Sometimes I see people wearing sunglasses with their faces exposed, but it's just not possible.

After one run, your cheeks will freeze. Your face will be sticky.

私はコメリの５００円農業用バラクラバを、毎年使っていますが全く問題ありません。

You need this kind of winter gear.

It is called a balaclava.

I use a 500yen agricultural balaclava from Komeri every year and have no problems at all.

山頂付近雪はかなりのドライパウダー！

シーズン中でもかなりの極上雪です。

でも寒い！

けれども、雪はいい！

パ・ウ・ダー だ！POW POW (English Follows)

久しぶりの雪！　まとまった雪！

ここ最近はコレを待っていました！！

しかし困ったことに風も出てしまい、今日はもしかしてこのままオープンしないんじゃないか…と思いましたが、ゴンドラ・LineAは定刻で運行！　LineCとLineEも風の影響で送れはしましたが運行しました！！　おかげで皆さんPOWPOW祭り！

楽しんで頂けましたでしょうか？！
We've been waiting so long, finally the snow storm arrives in Hakuba.
Superfine and light powder! 30cm + overnight.
But the chill factor has also hit as predicted... 

期待していたほどの新雪はコース上にはありませんでした…。

なぜ？！

昨夜も今日も風が強かったせいでほぼほぼコースの雪は飛ばされてしまっていました。

R2は比較的雪が残っていましたが時折カリっと下地が出ていてびっくりな感じでした。

そのR2を取り巻くTRZゾーンはいい具合に雪がついていて皆さん楽しんでいらっしゃいましたね！

LineCがオープンしてR3を滑ってくるお客様を待ち構えていましたが、R3は皆さん、かなり苦労していたように見えました。

見た目は良かったのですが、思ったより雪が付いてなくて下地のコブが出ちゃってたんですね。見た目のフラットと下地の凸凹にちょっと難しいコンディションだったようです…。
Line C opened a little later than expected, but we ran it on slow speed to transport our guests to some of the most popular spots.
Pretty good conditions, maybe some of you are tired? Sore legs?
For expert skiers, you might have noticed that the moguls were filled in a little at Route 3 and it was very nice to ski this today. Well, you need to be an expert to enjoy it!!

ニュースで報道されている通り、今朝は冷え込みましたね！

ベースで気温が-10℃以下になる時はガッツリ晴れて放射冷却が掛かった時になる場合が多いですが、今日みたいな雪のコンディションでベースも-10℃以下、上部がそれ以下っていうパターンは中々珍しいです。

今日の日中はLineEの山頂でなんと、-22℃まで下がりました！

皆さん、体が冷えているかと思いますので、しっかり暖かいお風呂に入って暖かい美味しいもの食べて体を休めましょう～！
Keep warm ,refuel and ride this week as much as you possibly can because the snow is amazing but it's damn COLD!
Hit the onsen once you have finished and enjoy a Hakuba 47 beer once you are out and back home or I recommend a hot hojicha (roasted barley tea).

At Line E it got down to -22℃...Freezing

予報通りに雪が降り始めました！　そして寒い！

報道で言われている通りの大寒波なんでしょうね。

日中は大きな降雪になりませんでしたが明日の朝が楽しみですね！
It's started, the cold front can you feel it?!
We hope the snow will pile up and not only blow away...

比較的視界は悪かったものの5cmくらいでしょうか、新雪が積もって柔らかい雪を楽しめました。

下には硬いバーンが隠れていましたが、これも今夜にはリセットかな？！
We had about 5cm of freshies, soft and powdery.

LineCに乗っていると業者さんが支柱点検の真っ最中！

パークがパワーアップ中！47 Parks remake 23~24 JAN (English Follows)

嵐の前の静けさか…。

大寒波が来ると言われていますが、今日は比較的穏やかなお天気と気温でした。午後には＋温度まで上がり、雪もちょっとしっとり感も出た感じもしましたが、上部を中心にしっかりと粉雪！　

いや～、気持ちよく滑れますね😎！！

The calm before the storm....A big cold front is said to be coming, but today's weather and temperatures were relatively mild. In the afternoon, the temperature rose to plus degrees celsius and the snow felt a bit moist, but on the upper pert of the resort it was solid powder snow.!　

Well, it's nice to ski 😎!

今日から2日間はパークのリメイク作業に入っています！

これまで中級＆初級レーンでしたが、これで上級レーンが登場しますよ！

昼間中々見れないパーク専用の圧雪車もガンガン稼働していました。

この光景もレアなので今日・明日ご来場の方はラッキー？！

47公認の各スクールが大忙しの様子でした。

日本語校のスクール、英語でのスクール、全スクールがいたるところでレッスン。

基本コース幅の狭い47のコースでのレッスンはインストラクターにとっても中々厳しい所ですが、そこは講師の腕の見せ所ですね！　下地硬くて難しい箇所もありますが、この粉雪なら上達も早いかな？！

私が再びやって来ました。

早速ゲレンデレポートに行きたいと思います。

For me that is the ski resort!!

今日のゲレンデは、最強寒波前のまだ若干暖かい？寒くない１日でした。

朝の冷え込みはかなりのモノでしたが、お昼頃にはプラスの気温になって、寒いながらも快適な滑りやすいゲレンデでした。

空も晴れやか。私の心も晴れやか！
It was a little chilly today and the day before the strongest cold front (temperatures) and winds will hit the north west Nagano in Hakuba.
How do you feel? The sky is clear and radiant as is my heart and mind!!

次に来る最強寒波は雪も程ほどに降るそうですが、気温がやばめです！

天気予報を見る限り25日（水）は最低気温は-18℃！！！最高気温でも-7℃！！！
ちょっと大げさかもしれませんが、長年白馬に住んでいますが、ここまで気温が低くなるのは初めてかもしれません。

そんな最強寒波が来ようが今は心晴れやか。

なぜかって、そう、明日休みだからです。
雪が降ろうが気温が低かろうが、そんなこたぁ関係なく明日休み。

いいひびきです。もう一度言います。明日休みです。

So with this next cold front we also expect a moderate amount of snow, but the temperatures will be terrible!　The weather forecast shows that the lowest temperature on Wednesday the 25th will be -18℃ and the highest temperature will be -7℃。

I may be exaggerating a bit, but I have lived in Hakuba for many years, and this may be the first time I have ever seen temperatures this low.

Keep warm and after riding try an onsen!
