雨上がりの週末は Rain on the cards.. (English Follows)

昨夜は寝ていると屋根に落ちる雨の音…。

それなりに雨が降っていたような気がしました。朝には雨は止んでいましたが雪はおかげで完全に湿雪に。スキー場上部までしっかり雨だったようです。

予報のせいでもあったのでしょうか、来場のお客様はとても少なく、平日と同じような感じでしたが、コースコンディションはGOOD！　板はよく走り、柔らかく、雨の降った時特有の板の走りと柔らかさを楽しむ事が出来ました！

It seemed like it had rained a fair amount. 
The skis ran well and the snow was soft. Have you ever skied in the rain?
Those who want to improve their technique should try to ride on all surfaces.

この方たちは全日本スキー連盟が開催するスキー大学でお越しの皆さまです。

指導員や準指導員の皆さまがデモンストレーターの方に指導を受け、技術を磨くというもの！　この週末は上手な方が更に上手な方に指導を受ける講習が行われているのですね。

傍から見てても皆さん上手！（当たり前です！）　見るだけでも勉強になるのかなぁ？

We often see a group of people gathered at the ski resort talking, observing and practicing technique.These people are preparing for a ski competition held by the All Japan Ski Federation. Instructors and semi-instructors receive instruction from demonstrators to hone their skills!　
So, this weekend, the better skiers are being instructed by even better skiers.

From the outside they are all looking very good! (No wonder!)　(Of course!)
I wonder if it is possible to learn just by watching?

昨夜の降雨と気温の急上昇により、初級者コースのR7の最終セクションは、斜面の雪崩の危険が出てきたので急遽クローズとさせていただきました。

初級者の方は最後の1セクションだけですが、急斜面がどうしても滑れない方はゴンドラでの下山をお勧めいたします。

危険がなくなればまた改めてオープンしますよ！　明日は…。どうだろう…。

朝のパトロールチェック後の判断になります。

Due to last night's rainfall and the sudden rise in temperature, the final section of R7 on the beginner course has been urgently closed due to avalanche danger on the slope.

Beginner skiers are only allowed to ski the last section, but those who just can't handle skiing down this slope are advised to take the gondola down the mountain.

We will make a decision after the morning patrol checks over the next few days.

毎週土曜日の14:30からのイベント、『現金6,000円争奪！！リフト券代返しちゃいますキャンペーン』が行われました！

暖かく Warmer Days (English Follows)

朝一は快晴で3日連続のピーカン！！

今朝もピリッと冷えて朝一は極上の粉雪を楽しむ事が出来ましたが、午後になってくると徐々にアルプス側は空の色が白くなり始めました。

今日は気温も上がり、穏やかな快晴続きは今日で一旦終わり。天気の変わり目となってきて、雪もしっとりはしましたが、エッジ感覚がソフトになり滑りやすかったですよ！

It was a clear and sunny morning for the third day in a row. We were able to enjoy the best powder snow first thing in the morning, but in the afternoon, the sky gradually began to turn white on the Alps side.
Today's temperatures have risen, and the calm, clear skies have come to an end for the day. The snow was moist, but the edges felt softer and easier to ski, ot was nice.

年末年始、3連休が終わり、各セクションは少し落ち着き、一段落と言ったところですが、外国からのお客様を受け入れるスクールはまだまだ大忙しが続いています！

3連休が終わった後の平日は、コースに出ると日本語での会話を聞く方が少ないような気がしています。2シーズン日本での、白馬でのスキーがお預けになっていた分、白馬でのスキー滞在を存分に楽しんでいらっしゃるようですね。

After the New Year's holiday, all the sections on the resort have calmed down a little, but the ski school for foreign guests is still very busy!

After the 3-day weekend, we could see that on weekdays there were less Japanese conversations on the slopes. After 2 seasons of no inbound guests in Japan, the we could hear different languages, including English and Chinese. We can see they are enjoying their stay in Hakuba to the fullest.

ゴンドラ山頂駅にはスキーを履かない外国からのお客様の姿もちらほら見かけます。

今日みたいな日は北アルプスや、北側に見える妙高方面の山々、そして志賀高原や菅平、八ヶ岳方面も見渡せるので景色を見に来るだけでも楽しいですね！

英語だけでなく、ヨーロッパの各国の言葉も聞こえますし、アジアからのお客さまも多いですよ。

At the gondola station exit, few foreign visitors without skis here were eager to catch the views. On a day like today, you can see the Northern Alps, Myoko Mountains to the north, Shiga Kogen Highlands, Sugadaira, and Yatsugatake Mountains, so it's fun just to come and look at the scenery!

Not only English, but also other European languages can be heard, and we have many guests from Asia.

粉雪が続きます！Spray it! (English Follows)

昨日に引き続いて雲なしのピーカンお天気！

今日は多少気温が上がったかなとも思ったのですが、粉雪は健在！！

15時の気温も氷点下を維持してますし、引き続き締まった粉雪をキープ！

ルート1の圧雪バーンでターンすればご覧のようなきめ細かい超ドライなスプレーが上がりますよ～！！

Bluebird weather with no clouds, just like yesterday!We thought the temperature might be a little warmer today, but the powder snow is still there!

If you turn on the groomer on Route 1, you will get a fine, super dry spray as you can see~! Try it!

今日の一番はR1上部でしたね！

何と言っても白馬の街に向かって滑り込んでいく感覚が何とも言えませんね！

この町の向こうにも妙高エリアの山々を奥に滑る事が出来ます。

R8上部まで上がるともっとワイドな景色になりますね。

勿論この左側の西側には北アルプスの大パノラマが広がるわけですが、北向きの景色も良いですね～。北向きの47は上から下まで粉雪キープしてます！

リフトに乗っている時間も飽きさせませんよ！

リフト線下を見ているとたくさんの動物たちの足跡を見ることが出来ます。

写真はウサギの足跡。その他カモシカなどの足跡を見ることが出来ます。

色々な足跡を見つけてどの動物の足跡か見てみるのもいいですね！！

終日ピーカン！Bluebird Day！(English Follows)

文句なしの快晴～！

アルプス、バーン！　粉雪、バーン！　朝一パウダー、バーン！

良かったですねー。

と言う私はいつもの通りコースに出たのは15:00頃でしたが、お日さまが傾いてからも雲なしの絶景は目の前に広がっていました。

いつもは五竜岳がピックアップされやすいですが、北に向けば白馬三山も見渡せるLineC降り場『1450』。今日も足を止めて写真を撮る方が目立ちました。

Usually Goryu-dake (五竜岳) is easy to pick out, but if you turn to the north, you can also see Hakuba-sanzan (白馬三山) at the Line C descent point "1450".
Today, too, many people stopped to take pictures.

15:00。エリア外から、会員だけが滑れる『ツリーライディングゾーン』を除いてみましたが、さすがにギタギタでした！

しかし朝一行ったお客様にお聞きするとかなり良かったようですよ～。

昨日の爆風の中でこのエリアは温存されていたので今朝が解禁！　パウパウだったようです！　今回逃した方は次回是非！

今シーズンからツリーライディングゾーンの利用をしやすくなっています！

レベルは最上級ですが、最上級の方は是非メンバーになって滑ってみてください！！

アプローチが傾く日に照らされて眩しい『47PARKS』。
3連休は列を作っていた中級レーンも平日になると一気にお客様の数が少なくなってきましたね。

待ち時間なくてバンバン飛べますよ～！

47 Parks are open every day, the weekdays are a little less crowded and intermediate features are available to use.

今日の名物はコレ！　R1下部です！

昨夜はキンキンに冷えてくれたのでスノーメイキングをガッツリさせて頂きました！

冷えてくれたおかげでカナあり大きなスノーメイクの山が出来ました…。

この時間の下山コースは完全に日陰になり、中々手ごわいコンディションとなっていたのでお客様も滑るのに一苦労…。転倒する方も多く見受けられましたが皆さん何とか滑っていらっしゃいました。

出来れば快適に滑れるコンディションにしたいのですが、人工降雪後すぐの圧雪作業は、雪玉大量生産となり、これまた滑走に難しいコンディションとなるため47では1日置く方針で圧雪作業をしています。

また、このR1下部は春の下山コースの要となるため吹けるうちに吹きたいのです…。

その代償がこの時期のこのコースコンディションとなるわけですが、春に多くの方に楽しんでもらうには…　という事で、ちょっと厳しいなと言う方は是非迂回コースのR7をごりようください！　硬いコンディションがお好みの方は楽しめますよ！！

Last night it got so cold that we got to were able to complete some snowmaking.

The downhill course at this time of the day was completely in the shade and the conditions were tough, making it difficult for our guests to ski. We saw a few people taking a fall, but everyone managed to ski down in the end.

We would like to make the conditions as comfortable as possible for skiers and snowboarders, but if we press the snow immediately after artificial snowfall, it will produce a lot of snowballs, which will also make the conditions even more difficult.

Some guests may not realize that the lower part of Route 1 is the key to the spring descent course, so we want to make snow while it is still possible....
It's unfortunately the price to pay for this is the condition of the course at this time of the year, but in order for more people to enjoy it in the spring... So, if you think it is too hard, please use R7 as a detour course! If you prefer harder conditions, then you will definetly enjoy it!

爆風ちゃん Wind blown (English Follows)

久しぶりに降ったぞー！！と喜んだのも束の間。

リフトスタッフからの連絡で、上部は超爆風との事！　それも尋常ではない猛烈な爆風との連絡が入り、今日は五竜とは繋がらないかなーとLineEが動かない事だけ頭に浮かんだ呑気な事を考えていたら、LineCも強風見合わせになってしまいました…😭

LineC降り場付近の段差が作り出したこの雪庇の大きさがその風の強さを物語ってますね…。 It hasn't snowed in a long time! I was so happy for a short while. Then the lift staff informed us that there was a gale blowing at the top!　 I was thinking that Line E was not going to be connected to Goryu today, but then Line C was also suspended due to strong winds... 😭. We're sorry for the wild weather.

今日のLineCとLineEに対しては絶望感を持っていたのですが、なんと、15時前からLineCが運行開始！！！

まさかの運行開始にすぐに飛び出てコースに出ましたが、辛抱強く待っていたお客様の、パウダー天国になっていました！！

この写真、一瞬何が写ってるの？熊笹の葉っぱだけ？　と思っていたら滑っている方もちゃんと写っていますよ！！！！！

と言うくらいのバフバフな感じでした！

I was feeling desperate and then Line C started running before 3pm!
Many people were waiting, and they jumped out of the car and headed out to the course, it turned out to be a powder heaven for those who waited so patiently!

雪は爆風でパックドされた、密度の濃いドライな雪。

ドライなのですが、あまりにも強い圧力でパックされているので少々重めに感じてしまう雪でした。

が、ご覧の通り、リフト運行終了時にもまだまだパウパウが残っています！

そしてTRZは今日は終日クローズでしたので明日が楽しみですね！！

明日は朝一狙っていきましょう！

だんだんお山が大きくなってきたぞー！立派なかまくらが出来るかな？！

三連休最終日の今日、気持ちの良いお天気からのスタート！

風は強かったものの、青空がパキーンと広がり、朝一は締まった粉雪の圧雪バーン。景色も雪も最高でした！

Today, the last day of a three-day weekend! Although the wind was strong, the sky was blue and the snow compacted well, but powdery. The scenery and snow were great!

朝一のリフトスタッフの出勤風景。

こんな綺麗な景色の中でキレイなバーンの中で楽しい仲間たちと共に出勤します！

勿論コースの真ん中なんかは滑っていきませんよ～。ファーストトラックのお客様のためにコース端を滑っていきますが、それでも気持ちが良いですね！！

お昼前になると日差しが無くなってきてアルプス側はどんどん雪雲が掛かってきて15時くらいにはスキー場はしっかり雪になりました。

ベースエリアは雨だったのでうーん、、、と思っていたのですが、ゴンドラ山頂駅で既に雪、LineEの山頂まで行くと既にちょっと積もり始めているほどの降雪になっていました。

多少重めの雪でしたが、今夜は久しぶりの雪予報、明日の朝が楽しみですね！！

三連休中日は Long Weekend (English Follows)

三連休中日の今日も賑わいました！

コース上にはウエアのカラフルな色で溢れ皆さま楽しんでいらっしゃいましたね。
A sea of colours on the slopes of Hakuba 47. Great to see everyone having a bonza time!

15時頃のスキー場上部は濃い霧に包まれていました。

「前が見えないよ～」と言いながら滑っていたちびっ子も上手に滑っていました。

空気は冷たい感じもするのですが暖かくなってきてるのでしょう。霧がガッツリな感じでした。
By 3pm it was foggy and the temperature had dropped a little.

歩く様に滑るテレマークスキーの方も多く見かけました。

とっても不安定に見えるテレマークですが足のチカラがとっても必要な気がするのですがどうなのでしょう？！

スキー場下部に進むにつれ、徐々にしっとりな雪に変わってきましたがテレマークスキーだと滑りやすいのかな？！

I saw many telemark skiers, skiiing as if they were walking.
Telemark skis look very unstable, but I think they require a lot of leg strength.

As we skiied down the lower part of the ski resort, the snow gradually changed to moist snow, but was it easier to ski with telemark skis...? Maybe?

今日はゴンドラに乗っているとお散歩中のカモシカさんに会う事が出来ました！！

47にはたまに皆さまの見える所にカモシカさんが出てきてくれるのですが、ベースエリアから登っていくゴンドラ線下の急斜面でよく見ることが出来ますよ。

カモシカさんにも会いに来てくださいね～！！

Today, while riding the gondola, we saw a Japanese serow (Kamoshika) out for a walk!

We sometimes see the Kamoshika in 47 where everyone can see them, and you can often see them on the steep slope below the gondola line that climbs up from the base area.
