The snow on the slopes melted and turned into water, which gradually gathered to form a river. There are many waterfalls right next to the slopes. This is the beginning of a river. This water is the source of life that gives energy to plants and us, humans. The seasons are changing from winter to spring, and in a little while, the scenery of Hakuba will change from white to green. The water from the melting snow is very cold, and when I touch it, it makes me feel as if I were being spirited away.
Today, for the first time in a long time, there was a north wind blowing, a typical cold wind that blows in Hakuba. The trees, which have been budding little by little due to the recent warmth, were covered with a thin layer of ice today. With the repetition of warm days and cold days, things are gradually heading towards spring... Whilst I was feeling the water flowing and looking at the trees like this, I could also hear birds singing. That is something you don't hear in winter. It was a relaxing moment. We are in a ski resort, but we are actually in a mountain full of nature... This is the moment when I realized again that there is such a way to have fun here.
I thought the weather forecast said it would be sunny today! Even in the afternoon, the slopes were still misty. I took the gondola up, but I could see nothing! The lift in front of me was barely visible in the thick fog. This is also a unique characteristic of the spring weather. Please be careful when skiing, and please don't get lost. It will be sunny tomorrow, maybe (lol).
A private lesson with Mr. Imura, a former SIA demonstrator, in the lower part of the R-1 where the mist was gone. Please follow Mr. Imura closely and imitate the movements of his legs, waist, and shoulders. Today, thanks to the mist, I was able to enjoy a little peace of mind. It was a moment that I wish people could feel the peaceful atmosphere in the mountains even for a short time. The end.
